From “Bachelor Dream” back to “School’s Out”

AF Bachelor's Dream Concert VTR

Last Entry, I told you that I was busy with making VTR for AF Concert.
But I didn’t give you a sample of VDO.Today I give you a link that you can see it.

Actually the AF VTR is very simple motion work, coz it just help the concert run it’s story on screen. But it’s kind of technique that I like, I like to work with icon, not much effect but work on a good timing. That’s remind me of my old work many year ago when I work for MTV. I created packaging for a program called “MTV School’s Out” !Back then, I’m not a professional motion graphic. Making the object seperatly move and sometime move along together are very difficult! Coz I was not know about “Pre-compose” before (the After Effect User will know this word)but the final work result are very satisfying.

In my opinion, a good work is not come from lot of effect which many programs offer. But it’s from a good vision of design and good timing (Timing Is Everything), and I always give this advice to my junior or student.Coz…frequencly I’v found the rookie was took in Supreme Exceeding Fancy Effect but forgot about a good design and planning

So… Please don’t focus on a glittering End but concern about a gentle Begin.

Akkie & Fire Bird

Click her to view Animation

So long.. that I haven’t made any animation, but only short action ex. Emoticon
The reason is a shot action can grab a short free time between Job and Job to do it.

Actually I like to do animation more then layout design.
The best part is to see the still image move, that I just can’t wait to see.
That why the worse part is preparing sources and drawing frame,
Especially, I’m a frame by frame animator,
so drawing both keyframe and tweening are took very long lonnngggg time.
Frequently, I put rough skatch images or not complete frames
in animate sequence to see what it’s like, cos I just can’t wait.
And then I’ll sit still and watch the uncompleted action run again and again…..and again.
